Another one of our go-to training positions we use as practitioners is the sleeper position. This training position is primarily used to train the shoulder in the zone of internal rotation. From this training position, we can train the connective tissue architecture of the joint capsule itself, use isometrics to further expand the load-bearing capacity of the architecture, expand the joint workspace, and more.
In this video, John walks us through how to set up the position properly and use simple cues to ensure we are in and remain in, an optimal position to train in.
